TapTechNews July 2nd news, according to the official public account of 'Dongfang Electric', on July 2nd, the 20-megawatt-class fully domestic natural gas pipeline electric drive centrifugal complete set of compressor units jointly developed by the National Pipe Network Group and the Dongfang Electric Group successfully passed the factory appraisal in Deyang, Sichuan.
This milestone marks that the Dongfang Electric Group has successfully broken through the 'last mile' of the full domestication of natural gas pipeline compressor units and has become the first energy equipment manufacturing enterprise in China with the overall complete set development ability of natural gas pipeline electric drive compressor units.
The appraisal meeting was organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, and the expert group was composed of well-known experts and scholars in the industry from units such as the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Tsinghua University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, the National Pipe Network Group, and China National Petroleum Corporation. The expert group listened to the overall situation introduction of the project, witnessed the product factory test on site, and reviewed the overall development situation. The expert group believes that the performance indicators of the factory test have reached the advanced level of similar international products and can be promoted and applied on the long-distance natural gas pipeline. This unit will be applied in the industrial test at the Shangluo Station of the Middle Section of the Third West-East Gas Pipeline.
According to the introduction, if the long-distance natural gas pipeline is compared to the 'artery' of the national energy, then the natural gas pipeline compressor unit is the 'heart' on the transportation pipeline. After more than ten years of the localization process, China's independent natural gas pipeline compressor units have achieved a breakthrough from 0 to 1 and have made important contributions to the national energy security. However, in the field of natural gas pipeline compressor units, there is still a 'bottleneck' risk, such as the bearings and vibration measurement devices of the compressor, the bearings and positive pressure purging devices of the motor, the high-power devices and chips of the frequency converter and other key components rely on imports for a long time, and the supply chain resilience is insufficient, with certain risks.
As the 'national team' in the national energy field, the Dongfang Electric Group and the National Pipe Network Group jointly developed three core products such as the 20-megawatt-class electric drive centrifugal compressor, the variable frequency explosion-proof brushless excitation salient pole synchronous motor, and the 22 MVA water-cooled high-voltage frequency converter, and were completely set by the Dongfang Electric Group.
Among them, the key components such as the bearings and vibration measurement devices of the compressor, the bearings and positive pressure purging devices of the motor, and the high-power devices and chips of the frequency converter were developed and applied by the Dongfang Electric Group for domestic production, breaking through the 'last mile' of the domestic production of natural gas pipeline compressor units, and will play an active role in ensuring national energy security in the future.
