TapTechNews October 11th news, the sports simulation game 'Football Manager 25' had previously announced that it will be launched on PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC and other platforms on November 26th (November 27th Beijing time) this month.
TapTechNews noticed that the 'Football Manager' official posted yesterday announcing that the game's release date will be postponed again to March 2025. The official announcement reads as follows:
SportsInteractive, after much deliberation, has made a difficult decision that the release date of 'Football Manager 25' will be postponed again.
After in-depth discussions with SEGA, licensees and partners, we all agreed that postponing the release date to March 2025 is the best option at present. The specific release dates on each platform will be announced after confirmation.
In the 'Development Log' released in September, we stated that the original release date of 'Football Manager 25' would be postponed because we need more time to continue polishing this first work of the new era of the 'Football Manager' series and strive to provide the best gaming experience.
Up to now, this additional development time is still not enough to ensure that the quality and experience of the game can meet the expectations of the players and the high standards within the team.
In the previous blog, we mentioned that this development cycle is quite difficult for the studio. Although everyone in the team is working at an amazing pace to complete all the work, many progress are still slower than we expected.
As many recent comments have pointed out, the schedule is quite tight and the whole team is eager to advance the project, which may affect our consistent high-quality standards.
Although everyone in the studio is passionate and committed to creating the best game, this situation brings great pressure to everyone.
'Football Manager 25' is the most advanced generation in terms of technology and visual aspects in the entire series. This is a critical moment in the history of 'Football Manager', and we cannot compromise on product quality just to rush this work out in November.
There are still 7 weeks until the original release date, and the current progress has not met our expectations. Adhering to the values of the studio, we always have to consider more long-term goals, so we need more time to launch a game that we can be proud of.
For the majority of players who have pre-ordered the game, we thank you very much for your trust and support. Given this postponement, if you want to apply for a refund, please contact the retailer.
You may have also noticed that we omitted the description of the early access rights for the PC and Mac platforms in the announcement on September 30th. Currently, it can be confirmed that the game will provide early access rights before the new release date. Once we determine the specific date of early access rights, we will announce the news to everyone as soon as possible. The reveal of the new gameplay content will also be postponed to the end of January 2025.
We know that this news will be a great disappointment to everyone. We feel the same way and apologize sincerely to everyone.
Thank you for your patient reading. We are going all out to create a new era for 'Football Manager', and your support means a lot to us.
