AMD Unveils New 4nm Ryzen AI PRO 300 Series Processor with Advanced Features

TapTechNews October 11th news, in today's AMD Advancing AI 2024 live event, AMD officially launched the brand-new 4nm Ryzen AI PRO 300 series commercial processor based on the StrixPoint chip.

The new series is equipped with the Zen5 architecture CPU, and AMD has upgraded the core numbers of the CPU and GPU. Compared with the Ryzen PRO 8040 series based on the HawkPoint chip with a maximum of 8 Zen4 cores, the Ryzen AI PRO 300 series has up to 12 Zen5 cores (TapTechNews note: 4 Zen5 and 8 Zen5c).

In addition, the GPU of the Ryzen AI PRO 300 series has also been upgraded from a maximum of 12 RDNA3 CUs to up to 16 RDNA3.5 CUs.

AMD has also upgraded the XDNaNPU of the Ryzen AI PRO 300 series to version 2, and now the AI computing power can reach 55 TOPS (Int8), while the processing capacity of HawkPoint is 16 TOPS.

AMD claims that compared with Intel Core Ultra 7165U (Intel's last CPU that supports vPRO technology), the performance of Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 has increased by 9%, and the performance of Ryzen AI 9HX PRO 375 is 14% faster than that of Core Ultra 7165H.
