TapTechNews October 10th news, the China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. released a blog post yesterday (October 9th), announcing the appearance of the exterior facade of the first hexagonal three-dimensional transportation hub complex in China, Suzhou South Station.

Suzhou South Station is located in Fenhu High-tech Zone (Lili Town), and it is a cross intersection and shared hub station of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway and the Tongzhou-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway.

The total construction area of the station building is 40,000 square meters, and the station yard scale is 4 platforms and 12 lines (including 2 platforms and 6 lines for the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway yard; 2 platforms and 6 lines for the Tongzhou-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway yard), adopting a unique waiting mode that combines underground, side-line, and elevated in China.

Inside the Suzhou South Station hub complex, the internal space is staggered up and down, and after completion, it will become a comprehensive transportation hub station integrating high-speed rail, intercity railway, urban subway, water passenger transport, and motor vehicle parking lot:

The second basement floor is the platform layer of the Waterfront Tourism Line intercity railway and Suzhou Metro Line 10;

The first basement floor is the urban corridor layer;

The ground floor is the hub parking lot;

The second floor above the ground is the entrance layer;

The third floor above the ground is the waiting area of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-Speed Railway.

The exterior facade of Suzhou South Station is mainly in champagne silver as the main color and roll-coated red as the auxiliary color. The overall building of the station takes connection and six-directions returning to the core as the design concept, implying the connection of the water charm in the south of the Yangtze River and the elegance of ancient and modern times. Suzhou South Station has entered the final stage of decoration and finishing. After the completion and opening of the station building, it will fill the gap that there is no high-speed rail connection between the southern part of Suzhou and surrounding cities, and become the southern gateway of Suzhou, which is of great significance for opening up the urban pattern, facilitating citizens' travel, and promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration.
