JD.com on Forbes' 2024 Best Employers List and Its Employee Welfare Projects

TapTechNews noticed that JD.com announced on its official WeChat public account that with the official opening of Blocks DEF in No. 1 Park of JD.com headquarters, the JD.com Youth City which can provide nearly 4,000 sets of apartments that employees can move into with luggage has also completed the topping out of the first phase of the project. In the future, No. 1 Park, No. 2 Park, Building 4, and JD.com Youth City can build a modern office space integrating office, residence, leisure, and commerce for 60,000 JD.com employees working at the headquarters.

Last May, the JD.com Youth City was officially launched, constructing nearly 4,000 sets of employee apartments with complete home appliances and furniture that can be moved into with luggage, including kindergartens, cinemas, basketball courts, swimming pools, commercial streets and other leisure, entertainment, and fitness supporting places to form a building complex with a total construction area of more than 300,000 square meters. The total investment in this project is expected to exceed 6 billion yuan. Coupled with the establishment of the Housing Security Fund with an investment of 10 billion yuan last year, JD.com's expenditure on housing security has become the largest investment in employee welfare in recent years for JD.com and also the largest investment in employee welfare in the industry in recent years.
