TapTechNews October 10th news, Tianfeng Securities analyst Guo Mingqi yesterday (October 9th) posted a tweet on X platform, sharing information about the shipment of Apple's iPhone 16 series models.
Guo Mingqi exposed that during the National Day holiday, the assembly orders of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max did not stop or slow down. The media guessed that on the one hand, there is still a very high demand in the market, and on the other hand, it is to prepare for the upcoming shopping seasons, including Double 11 activities, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and other promotional activities.
TapTechNews presents Guo Mingqi's views as follows:
1. The assembly orders have hardly changed, and suppliers are required to continue to produce the two Pro series without taking vacation during the National Day holiday in China, meaning that the demand for the two Pro models has generally met expectations so far.
2. Some components have slightly reduced orders after mid-November (mainly the 16 standard version and 16 Plus), but the extent is less than 3-5%, which can basically be ignored.
3. The demand for the 16 standard version and 16 Plus still has not improved much compared to last year.
4. The shipment of 16Pro is similar to that of 15Pro last year, but it should be noted that the current shipment time of 16Pro is shorter than that of 15Pro.
5. The next key observation is after AppleIntelligence goes online in late October, the impact on the demand/shipment in the US market.
6. Maintaining the production forecast of iPhone 16 at 88-89 million units in 4Q24, slightly lower than the 90-91 million units last year.
