This test is simply named Nintendo Switch Online: Test Plan and will be conducted from October 24th to November 6th. Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can start applying to participate from October 10th (today).

According to Nintendo's news, this test will accept a maximum of 10,000 participants. Applicants must have a Nintendo account and be an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack member, be at least 18 years old, and be registered in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy or Spain, and participants need to download the exclusive software on their Switch.

TapTechNews note: Nintendo Switch Online is an online subscription service launched by Nintendo in 2018, and members can enjoy a series of privileges such as online battles, cloud saves, voice chat, and classic game libraries.

The basic subscription includes NES, SNES, GameBoy and GameBoyColor game libraries, and the expansion pack launched in 2021 also provides N64, Sega Genesis/MegaDrive and GameBoyAdvance games.

Expansion pack users can also get paid DLC content of 《Animal Crossing: New Horizons》 and 《Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition》 for free.

According to VGC reports, Nintendo has provided the right for its paid subscription users to exclusively purchase some peripheral devices, such as retro-style Switch controllers. Nintendo also announced the launch of the Alarmo interactive alarm clock on Wednesday local time, and this product will be provided as a limited-time exclusive offer to NSO members.
