Solar Outbreaks and Potential Geomagnetic Storm with Possible Aurora in China

TapTechNews October 10 news, according to the National Space Weather Monitoring and Warning Center of the China Meteorological Administration, from 08:00 Beijing time on October 8 to 08:00 on October 10, the sun has successively had five obvious outbreak activities. Among them, the X2.1-class flare that erupted in the solar active region 13842 at around 03:12 on October 8 and the X1.8-class flare that erupted in the active region 13848 at 09:56 on October 9 are the strongest, both reaching the level of a large flare.

The sun has erupted CME many times within 48 hours, and the first eruption on October 9 is just coming towards the earth, with a lot of energy substances and a fast propagation speed.

Combined with the understanding of the solar activity situation, the prediction result given by the National Space Weather Monitoring and Warning Center is: In the next three days, strong geomagnetic activities may occur. Among them, from the evening of the 10th to the evening of the 11th, a strong geomagnetic storm may occur. If there is no new outbreak activity, a small to moderate geomagnetic storm may occur on the 12th, and then gradually return to calm.

TapTechNews learned from the China Meteorological Administration that starting from the evening of the 10th, especially from the early morning of the 11th to the early morning of the 12th, there is a chance of relatively obvious aurora in the north of our country, and there is even a possibility of a red-green composite aurora in some areas.

For the pigeon racing players who are in the autumn race, they still need to avoid releasing or racing in the case of a geomagnetic storm as much as possible, and also pay close attention to the regular weather forecast to reduce unnecessary pigeon losses.
