Tesla Model Y Included in Jiangsu Government Procurement List

According to Shangguan News reported this evening, the Jiangsu Provincial Government Procurement Center said to reporters that this procurement is a voluntary application by Tesla, and the procurement center judges based on two dimensions of parameters and prices, recognizing Tesla's eligibility to be shortlisted.

A staff member of the Jiangsu Provincial Government Procurement Center said that the government procurement does not purchase imported goods, and imported goods require special approval. But Tesla is not imported, it belongs to domestic (vehicles).

As for whether being on the procurement list means it will definitely be purchased, the staff member replied that it depends on the intention of various levels of administrative affairs management bureaus, using departments, and procurement departments. This is an open catalog, open to all manufacturers, and models that meet the parameters and prices and pass through certain procedures of review can be shortlisted in the catalog, but users can choose or not choose.

The latest batch of shortlisted procurement list also includes models such as Wenjie M7, Aouita 11, DeepBlue SL03, DeepBlue S7, Zhiji LS6, Zhiji L7, Galaxy L6, Galaxy E8 Administrative Version, Geometry E, Geometry G6, Changan UNI-K/Z, Qiyuan A07, Qiyuan Q05, Roewe D5X, Volvo XC40, CaoCao 60, etc.
