TapTechNews October 11th news, on October 9th, the domestic new energy semiconductor company Xinlian Integration announced the signing of a long-term cooperation strategic agreement with GAC Aion.
According to the agreement, Xinlian Integration will provide silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFET and silicon-based IGBT chips and modules for all the new models of GAC Aion. These chips and modules will be applied to millions of new energy vehicles produced by GAC Aion in the next few years to provide energy conversion and control.
According to the current average international price of silicon carbide (SiC) modules at 2,000-4,000 RMB per piece, and the market price of international suppliers' quotations for the mainstream 6-inch silicon carbide substrate remaining at 750-800 US dollars, etc., for the future cooperation between Xinlian Integration and Aion, conservatively, it is expected to increase at least over 1 billion RMB in revenue for Xinlian Integration.
Public information shows that since Xinlian Integration mass-produced planar SiC MOSFET in 2023, 90% of the products have been applied to the main drive inverters of new energy vehicles. The company's monthly shipment of SiC MOSFET has exceeded 5,000 pieces (6 inches) and is planned to continue expanding production next year. At the same time, the world's second and domestic first 8-inch SiC MOSFET production line built by the company has achieved engineering batch offline in April this year and will enter the mass production stage next year.
TapTechNews learned from Xinlian Integration's financial report that the company's operating income in the first half of 2024 was 2.88 billion RMB, an increase of 14.27% year-on-year; the main business income was 2.768 billion RMB, an increase of 11.51% year-on-year; in the first half of 2024, the net loss attributable to the parent company's owners was 471 million RMB, a reduction of 638 million RMB compared with the same period last year, a reduction of 57.53% year-on-year.
In the first half of 2024, the company's SiC MOSFET business increased by 300% year-on-year, and it is expected that the revenue of the silicon carbide business will reach 1 billion RMB in 2024.
