The rich iron ore resources explored in this area reached 104 million tons, creating a precedent for finding rich iron ore in deep-covered areas.

According to experts, the rich iron ore resources in this area are rare high-grade rich iron ore in China, with the characteristics of wide distribution area, large ore body thickness, high ore grade, and good prospecting prospects.

According to the official introduction, this exploration precisely delineated a total of 16 rich iron ore bodies. The average total iron grade of these ore bodies is as high as 55.27%, and the average magnetic iron grade is also 50.67%. The ore body thickness ranges from 7.66 meters to 119.67 meters. The comprehensively proven rich iron ore resources have reached an unprecedented scale of 104 million tons.

While achieving this major breakthrough, the Department of Natural Resources of Shandong Province also created the Yucheng-style skarn-type rich iron ore prospecting model and established a space-ground-well collaborative three-dimensional exploration technology system in deep-covered areas.

In addition, the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Coal Geology announced in June this year that it had achieved a major strategic prospecting breakthrough and found high-grade rich iron ore in the Laiwu area. The horizontal projected area of the ore body estimation range is 62,000 square meters.

In the drilled holes this time, the average total iron grade of the ore is 53.38%, the magnetic iron grade is 51.28%, the single sample has the highest total iron grade reaching 61.30%, and the vertical thickness of the ore layer is 3.25 meters, and two prospecting prospective areas have been delineated, and the inferred iron ore resources are 579,700 tons.
