SERES to Acquire Huawei's AITO Trademarks for 2.5 Billion Yuan; More Products to Come

TapTechNews July 6 news, recently, SERES announced its intention to acquire all global categories of AITO and related trademark rights and application rights, and design patents held by Huawei at 2.5 billion yuan. SERES officially announced today that Huawei will serve as an important partner to continue to assist SERES and jointly promote the development of the AITO brand.

Officials also disclosed this time that more new AITO products will be gradually launched within the year. Data shows that the monthly delivery of the entire AITO series in June exceeded 40,000, hitting a record high. Among them, the delivery of AITO M9 in June was 17,241 units, and the cumulative large orders exceeded 100,000; the delivery of the new AITO M7 in June was 18,493 units, and the cumulative sales in the first half of the year exceeded 110,000.

Huawei said that although the trademark is transferred to SERES, Huawei will continue to support SERES. Using its leading advantage in intelligent connected vehicle technology, help SERES build good cars and sell good cars.

Officials did not disclose the detailed product lineup this time. And according to TapTechNews' previous report, at the end of last year, an industry insider close to Huawei said that the brand-new model AITO M8 positioned between M7 and M9 will be launched in the second half of this year.
