NIO Day 2024 Candidate Cities, Past Releases, and Future Expectations

TapTechNews July 6th, NIO Day, an annual gathering of NIO and its users, will release a new generation of models and the latest technologies. NIO has now announced the candidate cities for bidding for NIO Day 2024, namely Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Xiamen.

Since 2017, NIO Day has been held for six sessions, and TapTechNews attaches the main release contents of each session as follows:

2017: The first NIO Day, held in Beijing, released the first model - the flagship SUV ES8, as well as the NIO Pilot assisted driving system, NOMI vehicle-mounted artificial intelligence system, and the electric energy service system NIO Power.

2018: Held in Shanghai, a new model - the medium-sized SUV ES6, and the six-seat version model of the flagship SUV ES8 was released.

2019: Held in Shenzhen, the updated model of the flagship SUV ES8 and a new model - the coupe SUV EC6 were released.

2020: Held in Chengdu, a new model - the flagship sedan ET7, as well as the second-generation battery swap station, 150 kWh solid-state battery, and NIO's full-stack intelligent driving technology NAD were released.

2021: Held in Suzhou, a new model - the medium-sized sedan ET5, and two DC charging piles of 7 kW and 11 kW were released.

2022: Held in Hefei, two new models - the medium-large coupe SUV EC7 and the flagship SUV the new generation ES8, as well as the third-generation battery swap station were released.
