NIO Announces 'Power Access in Every County' Plan for 2025

TapTechNews August 20th news, in the 2024 NIO Power Day event this afternoon, NIO officially announced the 'Power Access in Every County' plan.

NIO's founder, chairman and CEO Li Bin announced that the goal is to realize power access in every county by June 30, 2025.

In terms of battery swapping, NIO aims to complete battery swapping in every county in 14 provincial-level administrative regions by June 30, 2025, covering more than 1200 county-level administrative regions. The first batch includes Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Macau, Guangdong, Hubei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Anhui, Fujian, etc.

In addition, NIO aims to realize battery swapping in every county in 27 provincial-level administrative regions by December 31, 2025, covering more than 2300 county-level administrative regions.

TapTechNews learned from the event site that starting from 2026, NIO will tackle the remaining provincial-level administrative regions to cover more than 2800 county-level administrative regions.
