TapTechNews July 8th news, under ADATA's XPG brand, the GAMMIX (Pterosaur) S50Core solid-state drive has quietly gone online on its official website recently. This drive has an M.2 2280 form factor and comes with a heatsink originally.
The Pterosaur S50Core solid-state drive adopts a scheme without external cache, supports HMB technology, and is equipped with 3D NAND flash memory. There are three capacity versions available: 500GB/1000GB/2000GB.
ADATA has previously launched the Pterosaur S50Lite with capacities of 512GB/1TB/2TB, which has some differences in capacity format from this new product.
The Pterosaur S50Core is of PCIe 4.0×4 specification, but the sequential read and write rates of the 2TB version are only at the PCIe 3.0×4 level of 3500/2800 MB/s, and the sequential write rates of the 500GB and 1TB versions are even lower, only 2200 MB/s.
ADATA provides a 3-year warranty for the Pterosaur S50Core, and the total amount of written data within the warranty period for each capacity version is as follows:
The ADATA XPG Pterosaur S50Core solid-state drive has now been listed on the e-commerce platform in Taiwan region, and the 500GB/1000GB/2000GB versions are sold for 1199/1799/3559 New Taiwan dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 269/404/799 yuan respectively).
