Stellantis (Shanghai) to Recall 2 Imported Grand Cherokee 4xe Vehicles Due to Safety Concerns

TapTechNews July 5th news, TapTechNews learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd., in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Recall of Defective Automobile Products, filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. It was decided that as of today, some imported brand-new Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles produced on July 13, 2023, a total of 2 vehicles were recalled.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing reasons, the bolt of the second-row seat belt buckle may not be tightened properly. When a vehicle collision accident occurs, it affects the restraining effect of the seat belt and increases the risk of passenger injury, presenting a potential safety hazard.

Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. will check the bolts of the second-row seat belt buckle for vehicles within the scope of the recall and tighten the bolts properly to eliminate potential safety hazards.
