TapTechNews noticed that in May this year, it was reported that the Ideal L9 misidentified an advertisement as a real car and caused a rear-end collision. An Ideal L9 owner in Xiangyang, Hubei, claimed that when the assisted driving system was turned on on the expressway, the vehicle suddenly braked sharply during driving after detecting the small truck picture on the billboard at a high place, resulting in a rear-end collision. Compared with the accident in May this year, the assisted driving system was not mentioned in this accident.

The relevant person in charge of Ideal Motors responded at that time and claimed that the cause of the accident indeed the in-vehicle system misidentified the advertisement picture as a real car, and the software system will be improved later.
