Jaguar Land Rover Recalls Some Vehicles in China Due to Potential Fire Risk

TapTechNews September 20th news, TapTechNews learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that recently, Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Jaguar Land Rover (Ningbo) Trading Co., Ltd. in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures for the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. It was decided to recall the following vehicles starting from September 20, 2024.

First, Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

Recall some imported 2024 Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover vehicles produced from November 29, 2023 to December 4, 2023, a total of 3 vehicles.

Second, Jaguar Land Rover (Ningbo) Trading Co., Ltd.

Recall some imported 2024 Land Rover Defender vehicles produced from November 30, 2023 to December 17, 2023, a total of 3 vehicles.

Within the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing process reasons, the strength of the oil filter housing is insufficient and may crack, resulting in oil leakage. If it comes into contact with high-temperature components, there is a risk of fire.

Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Jaguar Land Rover (Ningbo) Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the oil filter housing, oil filter and O-ring for the vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.

This recall is an expanded recall of the Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Jaguar Land Rover (Ningbo) Trading Co., Ltd. Recall Some Imported Automobiles released on June 21, 2024.
