The experimental module carrying 4 zebrafish and hornwort entered the space station with the Shenzhou XVIII spacecraft, and conducted in-orbit experiments. Currently, the Shenzhou XVIII crew has successfully carried out two water sample collections and one fish food box replacement operation, and it is found that zebrafish show abnormal directional behaviors such as upside-down swimming, rotational motion, and circling under microgravity.
In the future, scientists will use the returned recovered water samples, fish eggs and other samples, combined with the video of zebrafish's spatial movement behavior, to carry out research on the impact of the space environment on the growth, development and behavior of vertebrates, and at the same time provide support for the research on the material recycling in the space closed ecological system.
The combustion science experiment cabinet can help scientists conduct in-depth research in basic and applied technologies such as basic scientific issues in combustion, aerospace propulsion, fire prevention and extinguishing of spacecraft, and control of combustion pollutants.
During this period, the Shenzhou XVIII crew completed the installation of the combustion solenoid valve transfer cable. By installing the transfer cable, the on-off of the solenoid valve can be remotely controlled, so as to accurately control the fuel flow in the experiment process. The Shenzhou XVIII crew also carried out operations such as burner replacement and vacuuming and exhaust gas removal for the combustion science experiment cabinet.
In addition, the three astronauts also completed the sample replacement and axis mechanism maintenance of the experiment cavity of the containerless material experiment cabinet. Before this, a number of key research projects have been carried out in the containerless cabinet, and many batches of experimental samples have been downloaded and are being tested and analyzed in the laboratory to expect to produce more research results.

The Shenzhou XVII astronaut crew on orbit to perform tasks successfully opened the home door and welcomed the Shenzhou XVIII astronaut crew from afar to settle in the Tiangong.
During the on-orbit stay, the Shenzhou XVIII crew will welcome the visit of the Tianzhou VIII cargo spacecraft and the Shenzhou XIX manned spacecraft, and it is planned to return to the Dongfeng landing site in late October this year.
