TapTechNews August 22nd news, according to Spanish media GEEKNETIC, MSI showcased the MPGX870ECARBONWiFi motherboard at the gamesom 2024 Cologne Game Show.
The MPGX870ECARBONWiFi is also the third new-generation AMD800 series motherboard displayed by MSI, and the first two models, MAGX870TOMAHAWKWIFI and PROX870-PWIFI, have been introduced in previous articles of TapTechNews.
The MSI MPGX870ECARBONWiFi motherboard adopts the ATX form factor, with a 18+2+1 phase power supply design, equipped with 110 APS Dr. MOS, and has 4 DDR5 memory slots.
This motherboard provides three physical full-length PCIe slots, among which the main PCIe 5.0×16 slot adopts the EZPCIeRelease+EZPCIeClipII graphics card quick-release design.
The MPGX870ECARBONWiFi is also equipped with 4 M.2 solid-state drive bays, among which the PCIe 5.0×4 bay near the CPU slot is covered under an independent radiator, while the remaining three bays are placed side by side. All 4 M.2 bays are equipped with EZM.2ClipII screwless tool-free clasps.
In the rear I/O panel section, MSI equips this motherboard with dual USB4 Type-C interfaces, dual USB Type-C 10 Gbps interfaces, 9 USB Type-A 10 Gbps, and also includes two RJ45 wired network ports of 5 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps respectively, as well as a pair of Wi-Fi 7 antenna holes.
