TapTechNews July 9th news, there is now an ASUS test machine equipped with AMD Ryzen 79700X processor that has appeared in the Geekbench database, equipped with ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO motherboard and 32GB DDR5 6000 memory.
AMD Ryzen 79700X has 8 cores and 16 threads, a base frequency of 3.8 GHz, an acceleration frequency of 5.5 GHz, 40MB cache (TapTechNews note: 32MB L3 + 8MB L2) and a TDP design of 65 watts, but there are also reports that AMD has increased its TDP to 120 watts.
As shown in the figure, this test platform achieved single-core and multi-core scores of 3312 and 16431 in Geekbench 6.3.0, which is 14% and 7% higher than R77700X, and even the single-core performance is higher than that of the i9-14900KS with a TDP of 150 watts (PL1 320 watts), but Geekbench may not accurately reflect its ultimate performance.
