TapTechNews August 12th news, according to CCTV News report, at around 7:50 am local time on the 12th, the fire department in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture received a report that a Boeing 787 passenger plane of Singapore Airlines emitted black smoke from the left engine after landing on Runway B at Narita Airport.
TapTechNews found out that the flight number of the involved passenger plane is SQ638, flying from Singapore to Narita. In order to tow the plane, Runway B of Narita Airport was closed for about 50 minutes.
Narita Airport said that when the passenger plane landed, the engine may have malfunctioned, and after inspection, tire fragments suspected to have fallen off the aircraft body were found on the runway.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan said that there were a total of 276 passengers and crew members on the involved passenger plane, and the incident did not cause any injuries.
