Xiaomi's Custom Phone Chip Details Revealed TSMC N4P Process and More

TapTechNews August 27th, according to sources, YogeshBrar posted a blog yesterday (August 26th), sharing details of Xiaomi's custom mobile phone chip, stating that the chip uses TSMC's N4P (second-generation 4nm) process and its performance benchmark is at the level of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1.

The source also disclosed that the chip uses Unisoc's 5G baseband and is expected to debut in the first half of 2025.

This is not the first time we have heard that Xiaomi may develop a new smartphone chip. TapTechNews reported in February this year that Xiaomi is collaborating with ARM to build its own AP (that is, the application processor, basically equivalent to the mobile device SoC).
