Microsoft Discovered a New System Application 'ContinuefromPhone' in Windows 11 Preview Update

TapTechNews July 2, according to the source @phantomofearth's tweet, in the Windows 11 Beta Build 22635.3858 preview update, a system application named "ContinuefromPhone" was discovered. After users clicked on it, no window popped up, which should be running in the background.

The description of this system application is as follows: "This is an executable file that provides convenience for users to be able to resume work on another device with the same file after the computer is locked.".

Maybe the official explanation is a bit confusing. TapTechNews gives a simple example here. Previously, the user was editing a file on the phone while drinking coffee and then switched to the computer and could seamlessly switch to the computer side for operation.

Microsoft tested the "ContinueonPhone" function on the iOS and Android versions of BingChat in 2023 to ensure that users can seamlessly use BingChat on the desktop and mobile sides.
