Riyadh Masters

TapTechNews May 17th news, the Esports World Cup officials announced that the Riyadh Masters for the DOTA2 project will start on July 4th and last until July 21st, with a total prize pool of up to 5 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 36.1 million Chinese yuan).

In this event, a total of 20 teams will participate. The champion can get 1.5 million US dollars (currently about 10.83 million Chinese yuan) in prize money, and the runner-up will get 800,000 US dollars (currently about 5.776 million Chinese yuan).

According to the introduction, among the DOTA2 projects, 8 teams come from the direct invitation of the EPT points list (top 8), 7 teams come from the regional qualifiers, and the remaining 5 are selected based on the regional strength ranking as of June 1, 2024.

Race System

Qualifiers: July 4th - July 7th

Two groups, each with six teams.

Single round-robin format.

All games are Bo2.

The top three teams in each group advance to the group stage.

The fourth and fifth teams in each group will have a cross-playoff.

The winner advances to the group stage, and the loser is eliminated.

Group Stage: July 10th - July 14th

Two groups, each with eight teams.

Single round-robin format.

All games are Bo2.

The top four teams in each group advance to the winner's bracket of the playoffs.

The fifth and sixth teams in each group advance to the loser's bracket of the playoffs.

The remaining teams are eliminated.

Playoffs: July 16th - July 21st

Double-elimination format.

Except for the final, all games are Bo3.

The final is Bo5.
