Microsoft also said that since the Edge 124 browser, the response speed of expanding or folding the favorites has increased by 40%. Microsoft said that in the next few months, it will further transform and optimize the Edge browser to improve the response speed of functions such as history, downloads, and wallets.

Microsoft stated in the press release that based on the relevant data collected, there are two main factors that slow down the response of the browser user interface. TapTechNews attaches the relevant content as follows:

The modularity of the user interface code is not enough: some parts of the code "unnecessarily share some things", which leads to slower speed.

Using JavaScript to handle the client-side rendering of the user interface

The Edge team decided to develop a project named WebUI2.0, minimizing the size of the code package and the amount of JavaScript code running during the initialization of the user interface.

Microsoft says this new internal user interface architecture is more modular and further optimizes the performance of the modern web engine by relying on the web component library.
