The former Executive Vice President of Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, Lu Xiao, replaces Zhuang Jingxiong to serve as the General Manager of SAIC-GM.
The former President Assistant of SAIC Group, Cai Bin, rejoins SAIC-GM and serves as the Party Secretary of SAIC-GM.
The former Vice General Manager of SAIC-GM Wuling, Xue Haitao, replaces Lu Yi to serve as the Vice General Manager of SAIC-GM and is responsible for the related work of marketing.
Wang Conghe takes over as the Executive Vice President of Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center.
It is introduced that Lu Xiao has led the R & D of important models such as Buick LaCrosse and Regal, as well as Chevrolet Malibu, and has become the first Chinese chief engineer in General Motors' global platform.
TapTechNews found out that the retail sales volume of SAIC-GM in July 2024 was 44,822 units, with a 2% month-on-month increase; among them, the retail sales volume of new energy vehicles was 7,901 units, with a 27% month-on-month increase. From the total amount of this year, from January to July, the cumulative retail sales volume of SAIC-GM was 349,922 units, among which the cumulative retail sales volume of new energy vehicles was 50,006 units, with a year-on-year increase of 41.6%.
It should be noted that the sales volume of SAIC-GM in June 2024 decreased by 72.02% year-on-year.
SAIC-GM is expected to launch a total of 12 new new energy vehicle models from 2024 to 2025, including the Ultium pure electric vehicle models and the new-generation PHEV intelligent electric plug-in hybrid models.
