The qualifier stage adopts a double group system of AB, with a BO2 double round-robin format for each group of 6 teams. The top three in each group advance directly, and the sixth is directly eliminated. The fourth and fifth in each group will have a cross-BO3 showdown to determine the last two group stage spots.

The other two Chinese region teams, G2xiG and LGD, are also not in good shape, both at the bottom of Group A with a 2-win-6-loss record.
