Sony's 5v5 Shooting Game

TapTechNews August 24th news, Sony's first-party 5v5 shooting game Starshot Assault has been officially unlocked. On Steam's Chinese region, it sells for 276 yuan ($40) and up. As of TapTechNews' press release, the game has 175 reviews on Steam, with a player approval rate of 80%, overall being very positive.

However, according to SteamDB data, the game had a cold start at its debut, with the peak number of players online in the first day (24 hours) being only 697, even lower than the peak during the test (about 2,400).

For comparison, TapTechNews learned that on the current Steam platform, the 24-hour peak of CS2 is 1,291,711 people, the peak of Apex Legends is 200,543 people, the peak of Rainbow Six: Siege is 56,374 people, and the peak of Overwatch 2 is 55,972 people.

It is introduced that Starshot Assault is a brand-new team first-person shooter game created by FirewalkStudios. This game requires binding to a PlayStationNetwork account. The first season of the game is expected to start in October, and the second season will be launched in January next year.
