TapTechNews previously reported that PICO, an XR head-mounted display manufacturer under ByteDance, announced that it will hold a 2024 new product communication meeting at 14:00 on August 20th, with the slogan of Colorful, Immersive, and it is estimated that this head-mounted display device will be launched.
The PICO4S head-mounted display is expected to adopt the same upgraded Snapdragon XR2 Gen2 chip as MetaQuest3. According to the information in the GeekBench跑分库, this chip has 2 cores at 2.05 GHz and 4 cores at 2.36 GHz.
The PICO4S head-mounted display will also have 12GB of internal memory. In contrast, Quest3 is equipped with 8GB of memory.
According to the exposed renderings, the PICO4S should be equipped with a display on the front, but currently the specification of this screen cannot be confirmed.
