TapTechNews September 30th news, according to CCTV News report, the Chinese police and the Burmese police have recently carried out the second joint crackdown operation through international law enforcement cooperation in the Muse area in northern Myanmar, and successfully captured 870 criminal suspects who committed cross-border telecommunications network fraud in one fell swoop.
Among them, there are 557 Burmese criminal suspects and 313 Chinese criminal suspects. According to the agreement between the two sides, all Chinese criminal suspects have been transferred to our side, and the Burmese criminal suspects are dealt with by the Burmese side.
Upon preliminary investigation, among the 313 Chinese fraud-related criminal suspects captured, there are 45 fugitive criminal suspects. At present, all Chinese criminal suspects and the evidence items involved have been successfully transferred to our side through the Yunnan Ruili border port, and the Ministry of Public Security has deployed the local public security organs concerned to escort the criminal suspects back in an orderly manner and make every effort to carry out case investigation work.
TapTechNews reported yesterday that the Ministry of Public Security sent a working group to strengthen law enforcement cooperation with the Burmese side, and jointly carried out a crackdown operation for the first time in Yangon, Mandalay and other places, successfully capturing 20 leaders and key members of the telecommunications network fraud criminal group such as Chen Wei and Yang, and escorting the 20 major criminal suspects transferred by the Burmese side back to the country by chartered civil aviation aircraft.
